The first book the Lord directed Joseph to write was My Sheep Hear My Voice (original edition 1986; expanded edition 1994; revised edition 2002). This book teaches people how to know God in a personal, intimate way. The Lord instructed Joseph to give simple instructions so that a one-day-old child of God could follow them and get to Him. Joseph was instructed to use an abundance of clear, plain scripture, proving beyond a doubt the scriptural basis as well as the mechanics of how to know God. The revised edition of My Sheep Hear My Voice references over 300 clear scripture references and contains no mysteries. This book has been distributed all over the world. This book has brought God's children into a closer, more intimate relationship with the Father and Jesus. It is currently available in all the following languages in addition to English:

> German > Spanisch > French
> Norwegian > Czech > Polish
> Dutch > Nepalese > Russian
> Romanian > Madagascan

Joseph has been directed to write many other books to teach God's people how to grow in the Lord, as well as be trained as soldiers of Jesus Christ. My Friends Obey My Voice was written in 1987 as a sequel to My Sheep Obey My Voice. Many believers have found that they still have trouble obeying God even after they have learned to hear the Lord's voice. This book was written to help identify the reasons why some continue to struggle with disobedience.

In 1988, Joseph wrote The Manifested Sons of God. This books speaks about the mature sons of God for which all of creation is waiting (Romans 8:19). This book describes in detail the necessary spiritual training that must take place before you can become a manifested son of God. The book, Light, (published in 1991) contains a collection of 23 key subjects used in pastor and leadership conferences. Each chapter is a message in itself with scripture references about a particular area. This book is available in German as well as English.

In 1997, Joseph Hedgecock wrote Sound Doctrine. Sound doctrine basically means uncorrupted doctrine, teachings, and methods of learning. The devil and our flesh have corrupted all of these areas, but most importantly, our methods of learning. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:3, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." In the last days, 2 Timothy 3:7 says people will be "...Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." This book exposes tricks the devil uses to cause the church to go in ways that seem right which lead to destruction. It is obvious that even the simplest of lies goes undetected. This book gives the correct method of learning and teaches how we were to be educated spiritually. (This book is also available in German.)

The book, The Gilted Prison, (published in 1998) describes Christians who are neutralised, trapped, and unable to overcome their flesh and the devil. Many do not realise they are held by unseen chains until they try to serve God or face difficulties walking with God consistently. Two booklets were produced in 2000: How Love Grows explains the mechanics of developing the love of God in our hearts and Three Infallible Witnesses is a guide to establishing the mechanics of testing everything with the Word, Spirit and the Father.

In 2001, Joseph completed the book, Kingdom of God Now. Many only see the kingdom as something in the future or something in the past relating to Israel. This book was written to describe the kingdom of God now and how believers are to enter into and live there so that they can find out what is available now.
